Hi there,
Had the Omnia i900 a couple of months in my possession and the only thing that I am not pleased with is the way Samsung organizes pictures.
First of all you are forced to use directory names Samsung lay on you, i.e /My Documents/DCIM/. It even get worse when Samsung arranges so after EVERY 100 pictures it creates a new directory within DCIM such as 100SSCAM, the next 100 pictures end up in 101SSCAM and so on, this makes it very difficult for example myself having another program running in the background watching the directory if newer pictures have been taken if so it will be uploaded via FTP to our server.
I have been searching in the register to change the location and found it but to no prevail after the first picture I am back in “Samsungs” suggested directories.
If anyone has had any solution to this “problem” by means of tweaking the registry or having a script build in or anything else that solves this problem I would like to hear it, I just can’t be the only one on this planet being in this dilemma.
Best regards
Rolly

Hi,
Are we talking about the same unit Samsung i900 ? Where do you change the name from the directory, have you tried to take more than 100 pictures ?
Best regards

Is there any way to increase the resolution setting while taking a panoramic picture?
320×240 seems too little for me.

On my Omnia II (i920) in single shot camera mode I can not change the Flash setting, the AF, or the Exposure Compensation settings on the right side of the settings windows if I select any “Scene Mode” setting other than “None”
The setting buttons are still there but greyed out.
The flash button does come alive in Movie Mode however??
Is this how it’s supposed to work? I can’t imagine why the flash would be disabled in Portrait mode or Night Shot mode when you may need a fill flash!

I had the same camera flash problem. It about drove me crazy. I was finally able to fix it by going into movie mode and turning off the flash. When I went back into camera mode the flash was working as it should.

Sorry buddy,
Despite that I wrote several emails to Samsung Korea I never got a reply. Knowing how Asians lack of their language skills I consulted a Korean company who wrote a letter for me in Korean explaining the problem I had even than I never got a reply. This was the right time to decide never buy another item with the name SAMSUNG on it.
Sorry I just frustrated, this is just a bit too much.
Best regards
