i900DXHI1 Firmware
Those who are having battery problem on H3 firmware, is highly recommended to upgrade to i900DXHI1 Firmware. Mine can last almost 3 days with normal usage..

Hi,
How were you able to successfully upgrade from the HH3 firmware to HI1? I’ve searched all the proper sites, with no luck. The links and downloads are there. But no instructions. Every time I execute the HI1 updater file. The screen stays the same. Then when I restart my Omnia and its boots back up. I received the error message ‘PDA device not found’. I’ve been successful with following the instructions and updating ROM’s release from the Offical Samsung websites. But for the none offical release…it’s been a different animal.

Anyway, i’m not doing any extra things..
just using Active Sync 4.5 and Samsung modem which already installed before..
then i just run the HI1 updater file
what until finish..
done..
ur previous ROM is in English or others?

Thanks, for the reply Maks…my previous ROM was from the Offical Samsung website. Which allows me to select the Singapore option. Since the US is currently not available.

I heard on some sites, that with previous firmware upgrades, one could lose haptic feedback. Is that still the case? Or has it been fixed?

So how was it after you upgraded the firmware?
Still any bugging problems?
Does it work with Malaysia’s Omnia?
Also I’m having some irritating problems with the Alarm, like if the alarm went off, I tried to turn it off (dismiss) but when I take it out from the pouch (Samsung Pouch) I somehow pressed it or something. Does Omnia have a function where I set only when I press on Dismiss then only it turns off? Cause I used to have a HTC touch with WM6 and it does have that feature.

so far i’m satisfied with the HI1 firmware..especially the battery usage..
there is new rom I3, but i lazy to test it..u know le after upgrade a lot of settings need to be set..very tedious.,still waiting for bigger improvement ROM…
yes my set from Malaysia..
regarding the alarm, i dunno how to set only when we press the dismiss then only it turns off..try use other alarm like Phone Alarm

Just a stupid question, when I’ve downloaded all 3 items, do I need to unzip all and install one by one? or just unzip the first file would do?
I’ve successfully installed it but not sure if I’ve installed everything.

yes u only need to run/extract the part1.rar..
then i will combine all files into one…
if u want to check whether u had installed everything,
your device version should be
pda : i900DXHI1/DXHI1
phone : i900DXHI1

but those who get error message ‘Incorrect Software Version’
u can try this fix
Press the ‘dial’ key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer
With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#
Select ‘Preconfiguration’
Enter code *#81230*# and select OK
Select ‘Singapore’, with the default Operator
Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET
Run update, and all should be well.

i think for more safer, just bring ur Omnia to Samsung Service Centre ask them to upgrade to new firmware..

hi everybody, i tried to upgrade my firmware to the DXIA5 and my original one is DXHG3. It seem that it doesn’t let me do it.
