FANTASTIC WAD THEME FOR OMNIA – Concept (WQVGA) – English version
Hi guys,
It’s been quite some time I haven’t post any news on Omnia since my modem is not so stable + busy. Also sorry for not being able to reply any comments for u all..Will do that if I have time later..
Anyway what else news? Omnia is an old technology already..haha..
Ok back to the topic, I’ve found 1 great theme for our lovely Omnia..
It’s a Wisbar Advance Desktop 2 theme made only for WQVGA. So in other words, Omnia can use this theme without any issue..That’s good right..
First I would like to big thanks to original creator of this theme, DESTRI, the guy with great design skills.
Here is original link. It’s a French site, you need to use Google translation for that.

But that is not his latest version. Some of the features are not there (e.g: music control & lock screen).
And also thanks to GATITO from Modaco, for some of his pictures which has been translated (from French to English.)

I did customized this theme to fit my needs. So it’s a bit different from DESTRI & GATITO version.
a) added ON PRESS IMAGE for all button (make it looks responsive when you press)
b) REMOVE SOUND when u click on any dock
c) added NEW PAGE for APPLICATION LAUNCHER (12 shortcuts)
d) 6 shortcuts in both TOOLS & SYSTEM docks
e) Small shortcut to S2P in MUSIC dock (default one is Windows Media Player)
f) Modified notifier (appointment, sms, mail & call)
g) Change ALARMES text to icon
h) Added HOME CITY WEATHER text in weather panel
i) added BATTERY PERCENTAGE on top dock
j) added MEMORY LEFT SPACE in system dock
k) LANDSCAPE VERSION SUPPORTED
- REMOVE NOTIFIER dock
- REMOVE MESSAGE dock, REPLACE with WEATHER dock
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Of course u need to have Wisbar Advance Desktop 2 (WAD) first
- Make sure u install on My Storage.
- Download this MaksConcept.rar file (from Modaco)
- maksconcept (mirror file. You need to rename to *.rar after download)
- There are 3 folders & 2 files inside the rar file
- newConcept
- newConceptL
- WMP Controls
- SF New Republic.ttf
- SF New Republic Bold.ttf
- Copy newConcept and newConceptL folder into \My Storage\Program Files\Lakeridge\Wisbar Advance Desktop\Theme
- Copy WMP Controls folder into \Windows\Start Menu\Programs
- Copy SF New Republic.ttf & SF New Republic Bold.ttf into \Windows\Font
- Run WAD
- go to Settings > General > Change Theme
- select newconcept
- press Menu > Set As Potrait Theme
- select newconceptL
- press Menu > Set As Landscape Theme
- Ok
Change weather icon
- still in the settings page, go to Icons
- browse \My Storage\Program Files\Lakeridge\Wisbar Advance Desktop\Theme\newconcept\extras\meteo petite
- DONE. You’re ready to use this theme.
If you find that some of the shortcut is not relevant for you. Then you may delete it.
If the shortcut is not functioning, just change in the script to point to actual programs. Warning: Please be aware WAD program required big memory to run. At least 6-7mb. Sometimes

That’s a wonderful update. I had tried tried the earlier version from Modaco but found many shortcomings. You have improved the interface well. In the previous version, an icon was easily moved out of place by touch and I couldn’t find a way to pin them. What about this version of yours? Anyway, I am downloading and would try this out. Thanks again.

I have been trying to dwnload to try on my omnia, but have some access problems to modaco. Is there another way I might access the files?

u said that icon was easily moved out because of u are in “Author Mode”
That mean u can easily move any object on the theme..
please uncheck author mode..the use it..

likewise, my question would be similar as sam’s
how do we access the script mode so as to modify the varous shortcuts
as the following error message keeps appearing
“Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename”
would appreciate your help =)

basically u need to be in Author Mode..
to do this,
hold on the bottom picture, wait until menu come out..
then select Author Mode..
now choose any shortcut that you want to change,
hold the shortcut > menu come out > select properties..
from there select script and Launch Program..
change the program..
that’s all

Hi All ,
I installed the above theme , but whenever i am clicking on any shortcut on my homscreen of OMNIA , it is giving me error that ” Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename ” , currently i am using free 14-day version of WAD .
Please do suggest ,

deleted a whole page by accident. the one with calculator, converter, currency, etc…
can i restore it?
another question, can i rename the names of the scripts/links. for example from “calculator” to “camera”? sorry im kinda new at this.. help would be much appreciated.

Hi!
Great theme! But im having some problems, it seems that the telephone freezes from time to time and often toghether wtih g-alarm. Not always with the alarm but most of the time. Anyone knows whats causing my problem?

that was because you dont have the program installed on your omnia..
you can change it from the script (basic knowledges in WAD is required)

1st thing, do u know how to enable AUTHOR MODE?
after enable, …
let say u want to change Internet button to open IE instead of Opera..
hold the internet button until menu come out..
then select properties..
if u manage to do this, then i will tell u the next step

just got my omnia…quick question and this may be easy..When I compose a new text or email and begin typing a phone number or contact name in the TO: field – I do not get any “pop up” or auto complete of contact options to select – I have to type the ENTIRE phone number or go in to my address book and select the contact. Similar to having no cache in Outlook. I have looked for auto complete contacts all over the phone or some similar setting with no luck. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a solution?

Hi
I am unable to run this theme on my Omnia. I followed all instructions till point 8.
Then I went to Settings to change the Theme… but there was no such option.
I have spent whole day looking for the required files and getting the WAD crack. Now it not happening on my cell is a shame.
Please help me.

Hello,
I really like this theme its great.
Although i have some issues. I run it on an omnia but when i press certain buttos: Like Contacts it says the link is missing?
Do you use certain programs with this?

This theme is truly stunning. I have it working flawlessly on my phone atm, and it has given my omnia a complete facelift. One thing though, any chance I could get my hands on the .psd’s for the icons. I have several programs that don’t have applicable images (not about to put youtube under pocket islam) and I wouldn’t mind throwing together an icon pack for the masses. Thanks!

HOW TO GET THE ICONS WORKING:
Shortcut not recognized? Well that’s because there is none…yet. Getting this interface up to 100% is pretty time consuming, but it’s worth it, so don’t let that turn you away from this skin!
1) Long press on the bottom image (road) until a menu appears
2) Select “Enter Author Mode”
- A transparent box with the words “Author Mode” should appear
3) Navigate to which ever icon is giving you the “not recognized” pop-up
4) Long press on the icon – wait for menu
5) Select “Properties:
6) Select “Script (On Tap)
7) Select “Launch a program” (If you do not see this option, click “Add” and select it from the drop down menu)
8) After selecting “Launch a program” click “Edit” on the right
9) Find the program you wish to launch from the next menu, highlight it, and press “Done”
10) Hit “Done” again a few more times until your at your home page
11) Long press on the bottom picture again and select “Enter User Mode” once the menu comes up
12) DONE! (repeat the process (except for step 11) for every icon you wish to edit)

how to rename shorcuts like EXCEL, FACEBOOK, POCKET ISLAM etc… i got the trick on how to change the shorcut link according to your instructions but i have not figure out how to change those. is it a registry change or something?
